Language Learning and Linguistic Dominance



1) Think about the following questions and try to write about 50 words in answer to each question. Answer the questions in your notebooks and use the useful expressions below to help you to structure and develop your answers.

  • What does the term "global language" mean?
  • Do we need a global language? Why or why not?
  • What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a global language?
  • Is it important to learn English and other foreign languages? Why?
